Governments within the European Community
adopted legislation [89/686/EEC] to
harmonise standards for Personal Protective
Equipment [PPE] within the Community,
replacing individual National Standards such
as British Standards [BS], Deutsche Norm
[DIN], etc. |
|
Adopted in 1994, the CE standard defined
wide ranging attributes concerning product
specification and performance and addressed
present day requirements of users.
CE Standards are increasingly acknowledged
internationally as a useful guide for
selecting the appropriate glove for an
application. |
