The NBEA, a renowned corporate awards competition that has been recognizing excellence in business in Sri Lanka since 2004, holds a prominent position within the local business community as a pinnacle awards scheme that acknowledges “Overall Excellence” in business practices. The evaluation process for the NBEA involves a technical and financial review panel, chaired by Sanath Fernando, Partner, Assurance, Ernst & Young, which conducts a comprehensive desk review of the applicants. The shortlisted candidates then face a panel of judges who utilize a tried and tested scorecard to determine the award winners. This distinguished panel of judges is chaired by Sunil G. Wijesinha, a highly respected figure who has held prominent positions such as the Past President of the National Chamber, former Chairman of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, and former President of the Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association (JASTECA). Mr. Wijesinha was also recently bestowed with ‘The Order of the Rising Sun’ by the government of Japan, further solidifying his expertise and standing in the business community.
Amidst stiff competition, Dipped Products PLC stood out and clinched two esteemed awards at the NBEA 2023. DPL emerged as the winner in the Export Sector, highlighting its outstanding performance and success in expanding its market reach internationally.
